Here you will find helpful information on food service operations in Overland Park, including establishments that offer catering, banquet rooms or specialized cuisine.
Inspectors conduct three unannounced routine inspections of each establishment every year. Establishments also are inspected before they open, when ownership changes or if a complaint is received.
Using the Kansas Food Code as a guide, our sanitarians inspect establishments that offer food in Overland Park with the exception of grocery stores, schools and day care facilities, which are inspected by the State of Kansas.
The conditions observed during these inspections are available online. These observations reflect conditions found during the time of the inspection and may not accurately reflect the current conditions in the operation.
The city does not issue nor renew a Food Establishment license until all critical violations have been corrected.
Inspection results have been posted online since 2001. To review records prior to 2001 or records of closed establishments, to report a complaint regarding any food service establishment operating in Overland Park or to get more information, call 913/895-6270 or e-mail health@opkansas.org.
